Zetec to Showcase New Lineup of Proven NDT Solutions at ASNT Annual Conference 2019

Zetec Inc. will demonstrate its latest, NDT inspection products at the ASNT Annual Conference 2019 in Las Vegas from Nov. 18-21. The Zetec booth (#2001) will feature innovative and proven NDT solutions, including:

New Surf-X array probes with the MIZ-21C handheld eddy current instrument.

This combination delivers one of the industry’s most portable eddy current array solutions for surface inspections, with performance that can reduce inspection time by up to 95% versus traditional pencil probing.

The new line of Surf-X eddy current array probes features interchangeable components including an electronics module, encoder and coil sets for new levels of inspection efficiency. The Surf-X coil sets enable users to adapt the probe to different shapes and materials at the point of inspection. With subsequent Surf-X array coil set purchases, the module, encoder, and cables can be re-used, saving significant time and money.

Recently updated, the MIZ-21C handheld instrument with surface array capability has new features that include a fully sealed unit, increased operating temperature range, up to 10 hours of battery life, increased internal storage capacity and more.

TOPAZ64 portable ultrasonic testing (UT) instrument with advanced focusing techniques.

The proven TOPAZ64 phased array ultrasonic instrument features 32 or 64-channel configurations with the ability to perform advanced full matrix capture (FMC) and total focusing method (TFM) techniques. Successfully in use with customers worldwide, TOPAZ64 has proven it can handle some of the most challenging inspection applications, including the detection of high temperature hydrogen attack (HTHA) in the oil and gas industry.

TOPAZ64 is part of the TOPAZ family of multi-channel UT instruments, optimized for portable phased array UT and time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) techniques. TOPAZ instruments can tackle most inspections with greater speed, efficiency and a low cost of ownership.

TOPAZ32 with the LATITUDE, a non-mechanized probe position and orientation encoding technology.

The LATITUDE scanner is fully integrated with the TOPAZ instrument family and allows a single operator to easily control the system through the TOPAZ user interface. It can eliminate the need for automated scanning technology while enabling the digitization and recording of test results, reducing the time spent per inspection location, and increasing inspection scope without adding resources.

The newNDT Sweeper has two integrated encoders for precise 2D ultrasonic scanning. It can support up to two phased array probes at the same time for pitch-catch UT inspections, and the individual probe suspension can be fixed axially or laterally to meet specific needs. The compact, lightweight, and ergonomic design is easy to handle during long-seam welds, corrosion mapping, and other demanding NDT applications.
