Webinar: A better way to inspect for surface and sub-surface cracking

Zetec to host webinar on a better way to inspect for surface and sub-surface cracking. The webinar has concluded. Visit our webinars page for recorded sessions.

Inspecting for surface and subsurface cracking in aerospace, oil & gas, rail, marine and other industries can be challenging, costly and time consuming. Depending on the approach being used, harsh chemicals or other hazards can be involved. Ultimately, being able to accurately detect and assess cracking quickly and safely is critical.

Join us on the 7th of November for a one-hour webinar session presented by Jesse Herrin, Bill Ziegenhagen and Jerry Park of Zetec. In this webinar, we will introduce a better nondestructive testing (NDT) method — featuring the New Surf-X™ array probes with the MIZ®-21C handheld eddy current instrument. The webinar will highlight how this eddy current array solution for surface and sub-surface inspections offers industry-leading portability and flexibility, while delivering exceptional flaw detection. A chemical-free and safe alternative to penetrant testing (PT), magnetic testing (MT) and other NDT approaches, this solution can reduce inspection time by up to 95% versus traditional pencil probing.

The webinar will review and demonstrate how this solution can be applied across numerous inspection applications including:

  • Sub-surface cracking in aluminum multi-layers
  • Surface cracks in steel pipes
  • Surface cracks in train wheels
  • Cracks in butt welds

There will be a question and answer period at the end of the session.

This webinar can help deliver an inspection advantage. You’ll gain an understanding of a new solution that can significantly improve flaw detection while reducing inspection times for a range of applications.
