Eddy Current Inspection of Nonferromagnetic Tubing, Level I
A comprehensive course, designed to SNT-TC-1A guidelines, instructs students in all phases of eddy current inspection techniques and data acquisition. Students learn inspection techniques for steam generator and heat exchanger tubing. Various equipment and sensing elements are discussed. Primary emphasis is on equipment function and operation. Includes 16 classroom hours and 24 hours of "hands-on" practical training. Prerequisite: High school degree or instructor's permission.
ETS-200 (40 hours) C/N 1898-05-03
Eddy Current Inspection of Nonferromagnetic Tubing, Level II
This is an advanced course in the eddy current testing of steam generator and heat exchanger tubing, following SNT-TC-1A guidelines. Emphasis is on advanced single- and multi-frequency eddy current techniques. Basic data evaluation is covered. Students will learn fundamentals of establishing test parameters, as well as organization and reporting test results. Includes 24 classroom hours and 16 hours of practical "hands-on" training. Prerequisite: Completion of ETS-100 or equivalent, or instructor's permission.
ETS-300 (80 hours) C/N 1898-05-05
Data Analysis of EC Inspection Results of Non-ferromagnetic Tubing, Level IIA
This advanced course in eddy current signal interpretation meets the requirements of ASME Section XI "Personnel Requirements" and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Guide 1.83. All data interpretation is performed on advanced computer-based systems. Instruction includes 16 hours of classroom theory and 40 hours of practical "hands-on" training. Maximum time allowed for the practical examination is 24 hours. Prerequisite: Completion of ETS-200 or equivalent and at least one year experience as a Level II Inspector, or instructor's permission.
ETS-400 (80 hours) C/N 1898-05-07
Eddy Current, Level III
This course follows the guidelines established by the American Society of Nondestructive Testing under SNT-TC-1A and CP-189. Instruction will be given in personnel training and certification, materials technology, a refresher in other NDE methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, & LT), advanced eddy current theory, and codes and standards applicable to inspection of heat exchanger and steam generator tubing. Prerequisite: Completion of ETS-200 and/or ETS-300, or equivalents, or instructor's permission.
QDA (80 hours minimum) C/N 1898-05-17
Qualified Data Analyst per EPRI S/G Guidelines, Appendix G, Level IIA/QDA *
This specialized Steam Generator training and testing covers the same materials as ETS-300. All data interpretation is performed on advanced computer-based systems. Both the written and practical examinations are created and graded using dedicated software. Instruction includes 40 hours of classroom theory and practical "hands-on" training: 40 hours are required for the EC data evaluation. Prerequisite: Completion of ETS-300 or equivalent and at least one year experience as a Level IIA Inspector, or instructor's permission. *May require additional ETD-400 work before and after established course dates to meet the minimum course criteria.
ETA-100 (40 hours) C/N 1898-05-13
Eddy Current Inspection of Aircraft Structures Using Zetec Equipment, Level I
This comprehensive course will fully familiarize students with the theory and practical applications of the eddy current techniques used in aerospace inspection. It is designed in response to ASNT's SNT-TC-1A guidelines and ATA 105/FAR 147 requirements. Instruction is provided in all types of surface EC inspection. Students can train on a variety of test equipment and use different probe designs specific to their application. Primary emphasis is on equipment function and operation. Includes 16 classroom hours and 24 hours of "hands-on" practical training. Prerequisite: High school degree or instructor's permission.
ETA-200 (40 hours) C/N 1898-05-14
Eddy Current Inspection of Aircraft Structures Using Zetec Equipment, Level II
This is an advanced course in the eddy current testing of aircraft structures. It follows ASNT SNT-TC-1A guidelines and ATA 105/FAR 147 requirements. Emphasis is on advanced single and multi-frequency eddy current techniques. Students will learn the fundamentals of establishing test parameters and organizing the reporting test results. Includes 24 classroom hours and 16 hours of practical "hands-on" training. Prerequisite: Completion of ETA-100 or equivalent, or instructor's permission.
RFT-100 (40 hours) C/N 1898-05-25
Remote Field Testing of Ferromagnetic Tubing, Level I
A comprehensive course, designed to SNT-TC-1A guidelines, instructs students in all phases of remote field inspection techniques and data acquisition. Students learn inspection techniques for ferromagnetic tubing. Various equipment and sensing elements are discussed. Primary emphasis is on equipment function and operation.
