Thickness Measurement in Feeder Bends
Zetec’s widely-deployed METAR scanner technology allows for easy monitoring of wall thinning over the entire circumference of first and second CANDU feeder bends. This inspection technology uses 14 conventional UT probes mounted on a flexible collar. Measurements are conducted by evaluating the difference between two back-wall echoes and Zetec’s UltraVision software enables fast and efficient C-scan & A-scan analysis of the collected data.
Zetec’s automated METAR Crawler, based on the same technology as the METAR manual scanner enables feeder tube bend inspections beyond the reach of the operator.
