Feeder Replacement Inspection Tool (FRIT)
Zetec’s FRIT is a motorized scanner for rapid, fully automated phased array examination of small diameter piping in tight environment. The FRIT scanner is optimized for CANDU feeder weld inspections. It can carry two phased array UT probes for complete inspection coverage of the weld. The scanner can be easily positioned on the feeder pipe and requires little clearance. The FRIT scanner is a field proven solution for small diameter weld inspection.
The FRIT can be easily installed or removed by one operator up to 10 feet away. The scanner is available for all feeder pipe diameters and performs one-line circumferential scanning sequence with axial probe position adjustment.
