PM-3A Probe Motor Controller
The PM-3A supports Zetec's 10D Probe Pushers and Auto Acquisition system. It can be used independently or in conjunction with the MIZ-30 and MIZ-70 Remote Acquisition Units. Enhanced 10/100BaseT network connectivity with TCP/IP protocol improves network stability and allows control of the PM 3A from a remote site.

The PM-3A is a key component in Zetec's Auto Acquisition system, specialized for motorized rotating pancake coil (MRPC) inspection. The PM-3A can operate up to four MRPC Motor Units, providing accurate rotational speed control and software selection of torque (current) settings.
Using embedded axial locating, the PM-3A provides fast and accurate probe travel. Control features such as the Axial Marker, Halt I/O, and Sensor I/O provide the necessary system control for in tube probe locating, end of tube auto shut-off, and sensor shut-off in the conduit.
The PM-3A features Traction Control to prevent probe failures resulting from kinking and pusher wheel abuse. The PM-3A controls the 10D's speed and wheel pressure, optimizing the push force while maintaining an effective grip on the probe's shaft.
Many auxiliary functions are available for the PM-3A including two types of automatic pusher shutdown, four resolver control inputs, conduit switcher assemblies, and up to eight +12 or +24 VDC solenoids and motors.
