ZETEC introduces the DYNARAY® Lite: High-Performance Phased Array UT System

(Québec, Québec, Canada) – ZETEC, Inc., the total solution nondestructive testing (NDT) provider for the Power Generation industry, is proud to introduce the DYNARAY^® Lite, a smaller and lighter version of the renowned DYNARAY^® high-performance phased array UT system. With its 64/64PR channel configuration, the DYNARAY^® Lite is 50% smaller than the previous models without any compromise on the performance: 200 V pulser voltage at 50 Ω, 16‑bit amplitude resolution, bandwidth from 0.25 to 20 MHz at -3 dB, and up to 30 KHz pulse repetition frequency.

Zetec, Inc. Expands Operations in Asia

ZETEC-Korea, a branch office of ZETEC, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Jong-Jin Shim to the company. Mr. Shim is one the latest additions to ZETEC-Korea team, where he has taken on the role of General Manger.

Prior to joining ZETEC-Korea, Mr. Shim held the various top management positions at Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) including the General Manager of Power Generation Department where he played a key role in the establishment of the company’s In-service Inspection Program. Mr. Shim had previously been qualified as ASNT Level III in MT, RT and PT along with being a current executive member of Korean Society of Pressure Vessel Piping. Mr. Shim holds B.S., Nuclear Engineering from Hangyang University.

ZETEC-Korea has also added Mr. Hyoung-Geun Ann as the Sales and Service Engineer to the team. Mr. Ann had briefly worked for Samsung Group prior to joining ZETEC-Korea. He had also worked at SAE-AN, one of the three major inspection vendors in Korea, as an Engineering Specialist for the past seven years with numerous qualifications including Level III for MT and UT. Mr. Ann holds BS in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Eddy Current Technology from Seoul National University of Technology.

We welcome both Mr. Shim and Mr. Ann to ZETEC-Korea team and look forward to their contributions in growing ZETEC’s Asian business from Seoul.

Team Announcement: Rollin Kelso

We are pleased to announce the assignment of Rollin Kelso to Associate Director, Regulatory Compliance and Professional Development. In accordance with applicable code requirements, Rollin has been designated Principle NDT Level III for Zetec and will oversee administration of the Zetec certification and training programs. Since joining Zetec, Rollin has contributed in a variety of roles. Most recently, Rollin has been responsible for significant accomplishments in the area of Corporate Quality. Rollin has also been instrumental in the realization of significant improvements in the areas of internal and external audit, record retention, and programmatic regulatory compliance. In his new role, Rollin will ensure that Zetec continues to meet the world-wide technical and regulatory based training and documentation needs of both our customers and our employees. This means ensuring our staff continues to meet the rigors of NDT qualification and certification standards necessary to support our field service commitments.
